It's been a long week. So let's end it with a few laughs. One day around Christmas when I was working in the bookstore in Asheville, NC, I was ringing up a woman and her teenage daughter while the husband/father stood nearby, flipping through the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Calendar. The daughter was appalled: "Da-aaadddd! God!" The mother wasn't too riled. In a great southern accent she said, "Your father's just married, honey, he's not dead."
